About: Derek Lambert Spent 22 years at sea - leaving at the rank of Chief Engineer. Formerly Head of a Marine Engineering program at University, he left to establish Cape Town Maritime College. He holds an MBA, and a PhD from the World Maritime University in Sweden, with a thesis that focused on blended learning for seafarers.

About: Leonie spent 5 years at sea with the South African Navy. Leonie is the foremost lecturer in Maritime Law for Marine Engineering and Navigation Officer students in South Africa. Leonie has 15 years lecturing experience in Higher Education. Leonie holds a Master's degree in Shipping Law from UCT, and has largely developed the Marine Law subject for South African seafarers.

About: Master Mariner Blaise Morris has over 30 years experience at sea on a range of vessels, including container ships, bulk carriers, general cargo vessels, cable layers, anchor handlers and offshore supply and salvage vessels. Blaise has 4 years experience in ice pilotage and holds the highest dynamic positioning qualification. His experience makes him one of the most qualified ship handlers in industry.

About: Henny has been lecturing management level Marine Engineering students for a number of years at a University of Technology, after a long and distinguished maritime career. Henny offers invaluable experience and insight into the education of marine engineers.

About: Alet Lambert has vast experience in education, and has been managing academic programs for the past 20 years. Alet has a thorough knowledge of the maritime industry and manages the running of the college. Alet has a Masters degree in Music, and an Honours Degree in Philosophy.
